Pizza night

We had such a wonderful day. We went and worshiped this morning and this afternoon we had a great time doing not much at all.

I was able to hang out with the older chicks for a while. They have spent two nights in the elements and it rained all night last night. They still have a heat lamp in the hoop house with them and I am glad due to the dampness. They don’t seem to mind at all but they lost a perch near the heat lamp and I think it was due to the shear weight of them. I replaced it with a new perch and I hope it holds better.

Samuel’s chicks are doing well and they are so cute and small compared to the big chicks. We had a casualty yesterday morning but I am glad that it has only been one.

Tonight we had a quite impromptu pizza night. We had a few leftovers that we were trying to use up so I made some pizza dough and with homemade tomato sauce it was quite tasty. It was fun to watch Jacob create his pizza. He wasn’t sure what he wanted on it but he was willing to taste and try the ingredients. Quite the little chef. Samuel is the pro at cooking but branching out and trying new things is hard for him, especially if you have to mix tastes together. I was proud of him for trying two different kinds of meat on different portions of his pizza.

Y’all come back now.

I am a work at home Mom of two of the best boys ever. I am a Nationally Certified Master Groomer and have been grooming out of my home for the last 12 years. We have recently moved to Greenbrier Tn on 27 acres. We are new to the "homesteading thing" but we are excited to learn. We hope to be filling our farm with many critters and a garden. We are homeschoolers so everything is a unit study to us. It has been fun to see the boys help Dad cut firewood. We will also be learning how to build a chicken coop in the near future as well. I have been making handcrafted soap lately as well and I am seeing an improvement in that business as well. It is all natural vegetable and goat milk based soaps. Can't wait to share this experience with everyone.
