Three kinds of cream cheese

Three kinds of cream cheese

I found success the first time in my goat cheese making endeavor! Usually the first time I try something it ends in disaster…but not this time! This is all my first batch made. I started with a gallon of goat milk and ended up with about 10 oz of cream cheese. From left to right in the picture we have Cinnamon-Sugar, Ranch, and Plain. As soon as I dehydrate some apples we will have Apple-Cinnamon cream cheese. I can’t wait to make more so I will do that this afternoon. Please tell me your favorite flavor of cream cheese. I want to try them all.

I want to say thank you to my friend Mary for being my guinea pig today. It is always good to get a second opinion.

Y’all come back now!

About the author

I am a work at home Mom of two of the best boys ever. I am a Nationally Certified Master Groomer and have been grooming out of my home for the last 12 years. We have recently moved to Greenbrier Tn on 27 acres. We are new to the "homesteading thing" but we are excited to learn. We hope to be filling our farm with many critters and a garden. We are homeschoolers so everything is a unit study to us. It has been fun to see the boys help Dad cut firewood. We will also be learning how to build a chicken coop in the near future as well. I have been making handcrafted soap lately as well and I am seeing an improvement in that business as well. It is all natural vegetable and goat milk based soaps. Can't wait to share this experience with everyone.

  1. I have just started making soft cheese too,but not from my own milk, unfortunately. Its a very rewarding hobby! Looks good!

Congratulations, and yuck. Sorry, not a cream cheese kinda gal. The mere mention of the word though makes Alison start foaming at the mouth. I’m sure she’ll be in heaven when we visit!

They look yummy! I love the strawberry cream cheese and any cream cheese with a mix of herbs is delicious on crackers! I had a recipe for a roasted garlic and herb cream cheese mixture – never tried it, but it sounded good! Can’t wait to hear about all of the delicious flavors you come up with.

Wow! Congrats! You are becoming my new hero! My personal favs are: veggie medley (carrots, onions, garlic, etc.) and the banana nut. Chris likes the pineapple/coconut kind. Catherine likes strawberry. The other two are like whatever. Keep on keeping on!
