I’m Back!

Posted By on April 10, 2010

I know you all feel like I have abandoned you. I have gotten several emails asking if everything is alright due to the lack of blogging. I assure you that all is well and I will do my best to update regularly.

Spring has sprung here on the farm. A lot has happened since I last wrote. Both my boys got older.

Samuel is now 11 years old and Jacob is now 8! How did that happen!? Sam chose O’Charley’s restaurant for his Birthday Dinner. When he got the kids’ menu he got really concerned because it was for kids 10 and under. The realization that he was over the legal limit was funny. He worked it out with our waiter (wink, wink).

That weekend the boys had a joint sleepover with their friends. We had pizza and chips and a pinata. None of which I have pictures of…go figure. The party had a sports theme with all the plates and cups and napkins etc having some form of baseball, football or basketball. Each boy got to invite three friends. I did manage to get a picture of the cakes before the boys came over.

Each boy chose the kind of cake they wanted. Samuel’s was a yellow cake with chocolate frosting in a round shape. Jacob wanted a chocolate cake with chocolate icing in a square shape. It was a great sleepover. They both have some great friends.

Y’all come back now!

About the author

I am a work at home Mom of two of the best boys ever. I am a Nationally Certified Master Groomer and have been grooming out of my home for the last 12 years. We have recently moved to Greenbrier Tn on 27 acres. We are new to the "homesteading thing" but we are excited to learn. We hope to be filling our farm with many critters and a garden. We are homeschoolers so everything is a unit study to us. It has been fun to see the boys help Dad cut firewood. We will also be learning how to build a chicken coop in the near future as well. I have been making handcrafted soap lately as well and I am seeing an improvement in that business as well. It is all natural vegetable and goat milk based soaps. Can't wait to share this experience with everyone.

You have great kids! Don’t blink, or they will be all grown up and having kids of their own! Trust me!
