We got a lot accomplished today! We got most of the new hoop house built today. I cannot wait to move the little chicks out of the garage tomorrow! They are starting to smell so bad. We had to change their bedding to straw last week because the water kept being knocked over and leaking in the wood shavings. We have remedied the situation but the straw does not absorb as well as the wood shavings did.

These peeps have been flying around the garage too. They are lighter than the big chicks were at the same age so they just fly up and out and then back in. Yuck. I am pretty sure that no one intended the garage to be a chicken coop. Not after tomorrow though!

I forgot all about taking pictures of this process so we don’t have many and most of them have me in them. We also didn’t want to show off our messy barn so there was only one angle to work with.

Samuel did get some really cool trick photography in. There were a lot of these pictures so I had to pick the best one. This is a picture of the drill hole looking at the wheel on the other side. Very creative.

We are all tired. The boys went in the hot tub and maybe even Quinn and I will make it in tonight.

Y’all come back now!

I am a work at home Mom of two of the best boys ever. I am a Nationally Certified Master Groomer and have been grooming out of my home for the last 12 years. We have recently moved to Greenbrier Tn on 27 acres. We are new to the "homesteading thing" but we are excited to learn. We hope to be filling our farm with many critters and a garden. We are homeschoolers so everything is a unit study to us. It has been fun to see the boys help Dad cut firewood. We will also be learning how to build a chicken coop in the near future as well. I have been making handcrafted soap lately as well and I am seeing an improvement in that business as well. It is all natural vegetable and goat milk based soaps. Can't wait to share this experience with everyone.
