Something new

Something new

I got something new this weekend. A clothesline! It is my first ever and I think I did 5 loads of laundry (happily for a change) to test it out. It is not a finished product, Quinn wants me to tell everyone. We had some stretching issues and he wants to put it on a pulley system. Hey that is fine with me. Less work, less electricity usage….win, win.

Fun at the park

I also got some alone time today. Quinn took the boys to a park that is close that he found the other day. Of course, he did this after he vacuumed the house and cleaned the kitchen. You just have to love a man that cleans! Usually his incessant cleaning annoys me but today when it was all clean and sparkling I could see why he does it. So…when he took the boys out to the park there was really nothing else I could do except curl up with a book. Ha! So, if any of you know my reading abilities you know that my eyes were closed in about 2 mins. 5 seconds. Oh well, I guess I will learn about raspberries another time.

So, back to the park. The boys had a fabulous time and met some new friends and got really dizzy on the merry-go-round.

Y’all come back now.

I am a work at home Mom of two of the best boys ever. I am a Nationally Certified Master Groomer and have been grooming out of my home for the last 12 years. We have recently moved to Greenbrier Tn on 27 acres. We are new to the "homesteading thing" but we are excited to learn. We hope to be filling our farm with many critters and a garden. We are homeschoolers so everything is a unit study to us. It has been fun to see the boys help Dad cut firewood. We will also be learning how to build a chicken coop in the near future as well. I have been making handcrafted soap lately as well and I am seeing an improvement in that business as well. It is all natural vegetable and goat milk based soaps. Can't wait to share this experience with everyone.
