G-Dad and Uncle David

G-Dad and Uncle David

My Dad and brother flew in today. Their plane was delayed but not too long. They made it in time for dinner. Dad took us all out for Hibachi style cooking. It was a great show! Since today was Jacob and Grammy’s birthday, and we were also celebrating Samuel’s birthday a little late, the boys chose the restaurant. I was proud of them. They ate well.

It was a very entertaining show. The chef even flipped shrimp pieces into Jacob’s mouth. He asked the kids if they wanted to see a big fire or just a little fire. Jacob wanted to see a great big fire….I’m still not sure if everyone came out with all of their eyebrows. He also made an onion volcano at the end of the show, first with fire and then with soy sauce bubbling out like a volcano, and just before it bubbled out he scared us by slapping his spatula on the cooktop to make a big bang. I think I jumped clear out of my seat.

We came home for cheesecake and opened presents. Jacob finally got the Bakugans that he has been wanting.

About the author

I am a work at home Mom of two of the best boys ever. I am a Nationally Certified Master Groomer and have been grooming out of my home for the last 12 years. We have recently moved to Greenbrier Tn on 27 acres. We are new to the "homesteading thing" but we are excited to learn. We hope to be filling our farm with many critters and a garden. We are homeschoolers so everything is a unit study to us. It has been fun to see the boys help Dad cut firewood. We will also be learning how to build a chicken coop in the near future as well. I have been making handcrafted soap lately as well and I am seeing an improvement in that business as well. It is all natural vegetable and goat milk based soaps. Can't wait to share this experience with everyone.
