Fun Day at the Park

Posted By admin on August 7, 2009

I had some errands to do this morning so when I was done we went the the little community park near our house to play some “Frisbee Dome”.

Frisbee!

Frisbee!

The boys made up this game with their frisbee’s and the dome jungle gym at the playground. They invented a point system for accuracy and eveything.

Then they had fun getting sick on the merry-go-round.

Round and round

Round and round

We ran into another family there and the Dad was very good at spinning the kids. I would dare to say too good.

We also saw a cool cicada climbing the picnic bench to pop out of his shell.

Then we noticed that there was another one that had already come out of it’s shell and was drying its wings.

We love to find cool stuff! I think we waited for 30 mins to see if the first one would come out. No luck, so it was home for lunch.

Y’all come back now!

I am a work at home Mom of two of the best boys ever. I am a Nationally Certified Master Groomer and have been grooming out of my home for the last 12 years. We have recently moved to Greenbrier Tn on 27 acres. We are new to the "homesteading thing" but we are excited to learn. We hope to be filling our farm with many critters and a garden. We are homeschoolers so everything is a unit study to us. It has been fun to see the boys help Dad cut firewood. We will also be learning how to build a chicken coop in the near future as well. I have been making handcrafted soap lately as well and I am seeing an improvement in that business as well. It is all natural vegetable and goat milk based soaps. Can't wait to share this experience with everyone.

Uncle John would be so proud of the frisbee game. Soon they will be ready for frisbee golf at Schenly Park in Pittsburgh!
