Frisbees

Today we had to go to Sam’s Club and buy essentials so we decided to go next door to Wal-Mart to buy a Frisbee. The boys have been wanting one so they brought their own money. Well, we finally found the Frisbees and were shocked by the price! Can you believe $9! With tax it was almost $10. Against my better judgment I let the boys make their purchase and we left. As I was driving down the road I saw the Goodwill store. I decided to give it a try and voila!…4 Frisbees for $6. Now that is what I am talking about. That way if the dog, Bullet who shall remain nameless, accidentally steals a Frisbee we don’t feel like we have lost a whole bunch. After our purchase I went right back to Wal-Mart and returned the expensive Frisbee.
Gosh, I love saving money! I cannot tell you the restraint I had to use in letting the boys spend their hard earned money on a little toy. They learned a lot in the process. It is not because the toy was used, it was just not needed by someone so they donated it so that someone else might have a use for it. All of the frisbees we got looked brand new but were probably given as a prize or free gift at an event as part of a promotion. If I can teach my children to be frugal they will always succeed, in my opinion.
Y’all come back now!
You go girl!!!
You learned your lessons well and are passing them on to the next generation! “Well done good and faithful servant!” Love ya, MOM
I am so proud of you. These are important lesson.
