Father’s Day

Posted By on June 22, 2009

I hope everyone had a wonderful Father’s Day and spent it with their Dad. My Dad arrived that evening so we are kind of celebrating a day late.

Mom and Dad have been playing games with the boys all day. We took a walk on the property this morning before it got swelteringly hot. We picked cucumbers and peas and blackberries. My Dad got in the hot tub with the boys (with the temperature turned down) and they had a great time.

After lunch everybody played “Monopoly” and “Life on the Farm” games. While Dad played Mom did what she does best….Scrapbooking! She makes amazing albums for my family and hers. Right now she is getting my old photos out of the magnetic photo pages and onto cardstock to save the pictures. We are going out to eat tonight! Yea. No cooking! They will leave tomorrow and head to Atlanta to see my Aunt and Uncle before they head home to Florida.

Y’all come back now!

About the author

I am a work at home Mom of two of the best boys ever. I am a Nationally Certified Master Groomer and have been grooming out of my home for the last 12 years. We have recently moved to Greenbrier Tn on 27 acres. We are new to the "homesteading thing" but we are excited to learn. We hope to be filling our farm with many critters and a garden. We are homeschoolers so everything is a unit study to us. It has been fun to see the boys help Dad cut firewood. We will also be learning how to build a chicken coop in the near future as well. I have been making handcrafted soap lately as well and I am seeing an improvement in that business as well. It is all natural vegetable and goat milk based soaps. Can't wait to share this experience with everyone.
