Breckenridge? Aspen?

Posted By on February 21, 2009

Today was a beautiful day.  The sun was out but it was a bit cooler than the other day.  I did some grooming in the morning and then the boys and I left to go to a birthday party.  Happy Birthday Steven!  I didn’t think to take my camera so I will have to get better at that.  It was cold and windy when we arrived and maybe the clouds were starting to hang around.  While we were there it started to rain and the temp was starting to drop.  Shortly after we arrived home it started  to snow!  Yea.

It is hard to see the snow in the picture but it was really coming down.  So Quinn had made Lasagna for dinner tonight since we would be getting back from the party late.  He immediately thought….hot tub?

The sun had already set after we finished dinner so it is hard to see in all the steam.  No we are not in Breckenridge.  No it is not Aspen.  Gatlinburg?  Nope . Would you guess Greenbrier Tn?  You would be right!  I like to swim in the rain but evidently my family likes to hot tub in the snow!  This next picture will show just how cold it is.

What does that thermometer say? 28?

Now I don’t know about any of you….but that is just plain stupid, er crazy.  They all came in for a hot shower and PJ’s.  They needed the later for tomorrow is Church day!   Hard to believe that Chicken day is only 8 days away!  We are so excited.  More on that later.  Ya’ll come back now.

About the author

I am a work at home Mom of two of the best boys ever. I am a Nationally Certified Master Groomer and have been grooming out of my home for the last 12 years. We have recently moved to Greenbrier Tn on 27 acres. We are new to the "homesteading thing" but we are excited to learn. We hope to be filling our farm with many critters and a garden. We are homeschoolers so everything is a unit study to us. It has been fun to see the boys help Dad cut firewood. We will also be learning how to build a chicken coop in the near future as well. I have been making handcrafted soap lately as well and I am seeing an improvement in that business as well. It is all natural vegetable and goat milk based soaps. Can't wait to share this experience with everyone.
