2 Babies!

2 Babies!

Stitches had her babies this afternoon! Momma and bucklings are doing well. Stitches gave me no sign that she was ready to have those babies this morning. We went off to church and when I came home there they were! I am kind of bummed I wasn’t with her when she labored but I think she is probably happier that I was not there.

We are not sure on the Daddy of these little ones but the white one’s daddy was probably a Saanen (pronounced Sah-nen). Karen told me that white is a dominant trait. The other little boy’s daddy is an Alpine. See Stitches jumped into the buck pen. Little hussy. Before Karen could get her out of the yard 3 bucks had had their way with her.

I am happy that everyone is doing well. Babies are so cute! Want one?

I am a work at home Mom of two of the best boys ever. I am a Nationally Certified Master Groomer and have been grooming out of my home for the last 12 years. We have recently moved to Greenbrier Tn on 27 acres. We are new to the "homesteading thing" but we are excited to learn. We hope to be filling our farm with many critters and a garden. We are homeschoolers so everything is a unit study to us. It has been fun to see the boys help Dad cut firewood. We will also be learning how to build a chicken coop in the near future as well. I have been making handcrafted soap lately as well and I am seeing an improvement in that business as well. It is all natural vegetable and goat milk based soaps. Can't wait to share this experience with everyone.

    Well at least you know now that goat births don’t have to be traumatic and complicated. So glad the babies and Momma are doing ok. Those babies are adorable!
