Last Friday we had a field trip to the Dyer Observatory. We had a fantastic time learning a little about galaxies, nebula’s, and sound.
Our guide talked to the group about the many artifacts that they have on exhibit and the people behind the history of the Observatory. Then he took us down the [...]

People are blessings

Ok. Yesterday I was gifted a canner and today one of my clients blessed me with art. She brought her dog to be groomed but also brought something she made me.
She had gotten a new “toy” and made me some letters for the wall. She put them on the wall as you [...]

Pressure canner

admin | September 24, 2009

Look what I got yesterday! Isn’t it beautiful?
Several weeks back I purchased some canning jars from the nicest couple. After I got home I almost kicked myself because I meant to ask if they had a pressure canner they might want to sell. Fortunately I had their email and sent that request [...]

Yep, singing praise songs and doing math….without being asked. What a great way to start the morning. These kinds of mornings [...]

Finishing the Hay

admin | September 7, 2009

We got home from the Fair grounds on Sunday after picking up the boys’ prize money and Randy was finishing baling the hay. I was lucky to get the car stopped in time because Samuel remembered it was his turn to drive the tractor.

The boys had so much fun hanging with the guys. [...]

Day at the Fair

admin | September 5, 2009

Today was the day we had all been waiting for, The Chick Show! Samuel’s chicks showed well. He got a Blue Award. A very nice couple bought his chicks at the auction for $12 each! That is a very good price considering the Grand Champion chicks sold for $15. I [...]
